Plot summary (Wikipedia) : Due to an intense heat wave striking Danville, stepbrothers Phineas and Ferb are exhausted and do nothing but rest in their backyard. Eventually, they decide to build a beach in their backyard to spite a morning radio DJ. Their sister Candace wants to expose them to their mother for doing so, but she only sees their initial draft of a small sandbox with water and brushes it off. Some time later, they successfully construct a full-scale beach, to which everyone in the neighborhood, including Isabella and her Fireside Girls troop go to cool off and enjoy themselves. Candace sees this and once again is set to inform their mother. This mood soon changes, when she finds out that Jeremy, a boy for whom she has romantic feelings for, will be coming to the beach to surf so she decides to stay. She finds pleasure in the beach after being crowned "Queen Wahine" following an accidentally flawless limbo performance and catches the attention of Jeremy. Meanwhile, Phineas and Ferb's pet platypus Perry investigates the recent theft of lawn gnomes across the tri-state area by his arch-nemesis Dr. Heinz Doofenshmirtz. He enters Doofenshmirtz's underground lair and is immediately captured where Doofenshmirtz explains via video that his family fell to poverty during his youth which results in the repossession of their lawn-gnome which protects them from black magic. Believing his family to be unprotected, Doofenshmirtz's father forced his son to dress as a gnome and stand in front of their garden the entire day, unable to move. For his hardship, Doofenshmirtz seeks revenge and plans on destroying all of the lawn gnomes he has stolen. Perry soon breaks out of his trap, and begins to brawl with the doctor, which inadvertently cause the machine containing all of the gnomes to malfunction. The machine releases all of the lawn gnomes and they erupt onto the beach. The beach goers flee in panic of "gnomeageddon" and the beach is destroyed. Candace does not realize this as she is trying to convince her mother not to come in and ruin her good time, so when she tries to justify the beach's existence, she finds nothing but their normal backyard. Candace is depressed, but the boys find the day to be a successful one. Candace is helped inside by Isabella and Linda. At the end, the DJ from the beginning congratulates Phineas and Ferb and also says that tomorrow will be hot and sunny too, but then Ferb adds "with a slight chance of scattered lawn gnomes."

Plot summary (Wikipedia) : Stepbrothers Phineas (Vincent Martella) and Ferb (Thomas Sangster) are sitting lazily under the big tree in their backyard when they decide to construct a large rollercoaster. With their mother Linda (Caroline Rhea) at the grocery store, their sister Candace (Ashley Tisdale) wants to catch them in the act and "bust" them. Candace goes to the store to tell their mom of the boys activities, though she is keen on neglecting it. Isabella (Alyson Stoner) asks Candace at The Flynn-Fletcher house if Phineas and Ferb are home, but Candace ignores her. Isabella then goes to Phineas with hearts in her eyes and says her common catchphrase "Whatcha doin'?". She says "Isn't that impossible?" to Phineas and says that she will go swimming, but Phineas declines and Isabella leaves. Phineas and Ferb begin working on the coaster. Meanwhile, Perry the Platypus (Dee Bradley Baker) performs his act as a "secret Agent P", being informed by Major Francis Monogram (Jeff "Swampy" Marsh) that Dr. Heinz Doofenshmirtz (Dan Povenmire) has bought 80% of the tri-state area's tin foil. Perry darts off to investigate what Dr. Doofenshmirtz is doing. With their rollercoaster finally finished, Phineas and Ferb unveil it to their entire neighborhood in a glamor-filled light show with notable guests being Isabella, Ginger, and Katie. They all rocket off on the rollercoaster, which spirals around buildings and swoops through parking lots. Doofenshmirtz, meanwhile, reveals that he is using the tin foil to cover it over the eastern seaboard, use a magnet to pull it, and thereby reverse the Earth's rotation -- from there, he is lost. Perry fights him, ensuing in the magnet activating, sending a giant ball of tin foil hurtling at them. They frantically try to stop it. Perry attempts to solve the problem using a helicopter, which inadvertently causes the rollercoaster to crumble and speed off the tracks. As they spiral around the world and eventually space, Candace continues to try and bust them, even on the way home. The magnet is stopped, as Phineas and Ferb return home, Candace a second too late. Isabella says that was the best ride ever and she and Phineas talk about Perry and that he may lay an egg. Ferb burps from having peanut butter, which Isabella says that was cool and she leaves at that point. The episode ends with the roller coaster exploding in the boys' backyard tree and Dr. Doofenshmirtz is seen rolling in the background setting.
