The Jungle Book - North American Premiere Mondays at 6:00 pm beginning October 18, 2010 Based on the classic book by Rudyard Kipling, The Jungle Book tells of the adventures of Mowgli, a boy raised by wolves in the Indian jungle. With his best friends, a wise bear named Baloo, the panther Baghera, and the python Kaa, Mowgli learns to overcome adversity and survive in the jungle. This is particularly challenging with a tenacious enemy like Shere Khan, a Royal Bengal tiger. Mowgli also has to defend himself against a sneaky jackal and the Bandar-Log, or monkey people, who live in the forest treetops and pay no heed to the laws of the jungle.
